JOB OPENING: Draftsperson

Bergeron Technical Services is seeking an individual who would like to work at our company to fulfil the need for a CAD draftsperson.  This applicant should have at a minimum an entry-level knowledge of CAD software, experience and knowledge of Carlson Survey is a plus, and be interested in advancing their skills towards becoming an amazing drafter.  A successful applicant will join the team at Bergeron Technical to primarily fill a role in our Land Surveying Division but at times, may be asked to assist with other types of technical drafting such as architectural.

Interests, Work History and Desirable Skills: This applicant must have fundamental CAD skills and be capable of applying these skills towards developing drawings from field and/or site collected data.  Additionally, this applicant must have:

• The desire and ability to work on their own to prepare professional quality drawings.
• The desire to learn and improve their drafting abilities so as to be able to use the full capabilities of CAD drafting applications.
• Experience with related office applications such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam.
• The desire to be part of a team in a growing company that has been in business for more than twenty-five years.

Basic Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license
• Able to work regularly in an indoor work environment.
• An excellent work demeanor with the ability and desire to work well with others.

Partial Job Description: You will be working on an up-to-date workstation using the latest versions of Carlson Survey.  We print many of our deliverables in our office, however at times you will be expected to work with contract printers, usually for larger projects.  For an amazing applicant we can offer some flexibility in schedule and occasional work-from-home opportunity.  Bergeron Technical will assist a competent employee in gaining advanced training so as to maintain and continuously approve their CAD abilities.

 Work Environment: This position will generally require working in our office in Conway.

 Wages & Benefits: This is an hourly position with an hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills. Our work week is Monday through Friday.  As mentioned above this position may have some flexibility in terms of hours worked per week, general workday schedule, and occasional work from home opportunities. Our office is generally staffed from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
