JOB OPENING: Entry Level Land Survey Technician Position
Bergeron Technical Services is seeking an individual who would like to work with our Licensed Land Surveyor. This applicant should have a basic knowledge of what land surveying entails and an interest in working as part of a survey team. A successful applicant will join the team at Bergeron Technical and become a part of a rapidly growing Land Surveying Division within Bergeron Technical Services.

Interests, Work History and Desirable Skills: Knowledge of the basic elements of what land surveying entails will be a plus. Also:
- The desire and ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
- The desire to learn how to work with modern survey equipment both in the field and in the office.
- Experience with basic field work equipment such as loppers, shovels, and basic hand tools.
- Experience with drafting applications, specifically AutoCad or Carlson, would be beneficial.
- The desire to be part of a team in a growing company that has been in business for more than twenty-five years.
Basic Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license
- Able to lift over 50 pounds.
- Able to work in all types of weather conditions and on all types of terrain.
- A good work demeanor with the ability and desire to work well with others.
Partial Job Description: For the right applicant this could be a part-time position with some flexibility in schedule or, if desirable, this could be a full-time year-round position. License, certification, education, and work experience in the field of Land Surveying is a plus yet on the job training, certifications, and licensing assistance is available to the right candidate.
Work Environment: This position requires working within the office and outdoors, in all seasons, in most weather conditions. Field work includes sites that range from fully developed and within town centers to remote vacant parcels that require hiking in/out to access. A love of the outdoors will be necessary to be successful in this position.

Wages & Benefits: Initially this is an hourly position with an hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills. Our work week is Monday through Friday. As mentioned above this position might be flexible in terms of hours worked per week for the right applicant. The office is generally staffed from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
